Albany is threatening to take away the Mayor’s accountability for NYC public schools - and take us back to a time when corruption and incompetence ruled the system.

We can’t let that happen.

Politicians in Albany are proposing taking away Mayoral accountability of New York City’s public schools.

the last time Albany took away control, chaos, violence, and dysfunction ran rampant.

Drug dealers and gang members worked as school safety officers. Facilities fell apart. And Mayors were powerless to help the parents who demanded change.

After decades of failure, mayoral accountability was restored in 2002.

Since then:

Class sizes have decreased.

Graduation rates are up 35%.The percentage of graduates earning Advanced Regents degrees rose more than 20%.

SAT participation has nearly doubled.

Pre-K enrollment has more than quadruped.

SAY NO TO THE OLD ROTTEN SYSTEM

KEEP MAYORAL CONTROL OF NYC PUBLIC SCHOOLS
